Post from April 3, 2015
(My wrist has been on my mind a lot in the last few months. I wrote this post in April while trying to come to terms with the pain and how much it limits me – can’t cut a butternut squash in half, can’t open jars, can hardly clean the kitchen counters, and don’t even ask me what my Overhead Squat is. Ger and Cassie have always encouraged me to get it fixed. I’m doing that Thursday morning and will update soon. For now, here’s my backstory)
- I was exhausted. I wasn’t listening to my body. (I was supposed to fly to Florida the next morning and wasn’t packed but I wanted to get one more WOD in before I left.)
- I wasn’t paying attention. I wasn’t focused on the WOD even though I knew I should leave any stresses or worries at the bay door.
- I shouldn’t have tried to go from an 18 inch box jump to a 20 right before Fight Gone Bad.
- I learned to focus more on, and eventually love, endurance WODs.
